Navy Bean Soup Recipe

Smoked ham adds rich flavor to this filling soup. Great during the winter to warm up your insides.

Ingredients
1 1/2 lb. dried navy beans
2 1/2 quarts water
1 slice smoked ham, diced
1 C. onion, minced
3 chicken bouillon cubes
Salt and pepper
Directions
Wash and pick over dried navy beans, then put beans in crockpot. Add enough cold water to cover and let soak overnight. In the morning drain well. Add 2 1/2 qt. fresh water to beans in crockpot. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours, or high for 6-8 hours.
