Sauerkraut Stew Recipe

Spicy beef and sauerkraut Southern stew.

Ingredients

1/2 lb. stew meat
32 oz. sauerkraut
32 oz. tomatoes with hot peppers
1 med. onion
1 lb. fresh or frozen okra
black pepper to taste
salt to taste (sauerkraut has salt so be careful)
hot pepper sauce to taste
Creole seasoning to taste
oregano to taste

Directions

Cut meat into bite sizes. Chop onion into medium sizes. Put in slow cooker. Add sauerkraut and okra.  Add tomatoes (can be diced, whole etc. depending on your preference), add spices and stir all ingredients together. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Serve over pasta or rice or by itself.
