Ham and Lentil Soup Recipe

Simply put all the ingredients in and let the crockpot do the work for this tasty soup.

Ingredients

2 C. lentils
1/2 lb. ham, diced
1 onion, chopped
1 bay leaf
2 ribs celery, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

Combine all ingredients with 2 qts. water in the Crock Pot. Cook on low, covered, 8 to 10 hours. Adjust seasonings and serve.

Bean and Barley Soup with Ham Recipe

Ingredients

1 lg. potato, finely diced
1 carrot, finely diced
1 C. diced tomatoes
1 bay leaf
4 C. Great Northern beans, canned and undrained
1 C. barley
2 C. cooked ham, finely diced
6 C. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
3/4 tsp. pepper or to taste
