Real Texas Crockpot Chili Recipe

Ingredients
2-3 lbs. chuck or sirloin steak, cut 1/2-inch thick
1Tbs. vegetable oil
1 large onion
3 cloves garlic
1tsp. salt
2- fresh jalapenos, seeded and chopped
1/4 C. dark chili powder
2 tsp. ground cumin
1 C. dark beer
1/2 C. water
1/4 C. masa (or cornmeal)
